Day 2 - No Hot Water

Well, the new year is certainly starting off wonderfully.  Day 2 and I have no hot water.   

The water to the house was supposed to be shut off for an hour yesterday while they worked on the bathroom downstairs.  But they apparently mistakenly forgot to turn it back on going to my water heater.  The problem should be resolved today so I'll survive, but it would be nice to be able to take a shower in the morning.

I'm smart and can usually figure things out.  I went down and looked, but I don't do gas water heaters, so I have no clue what to do.  It's probably just a matter of turning on a valve so the water will flow.  I don't know.  


Update: This was fixed by 11 AM.  The guy just forgot to turn a valve.

The Book of Proverbs - Chapter 1 - Personal Bible Study

So recently I started reading the book of Proverbs in the Bible.  A quick reading through the first few chapters showed me that I need to spend a lot more time actually studying this book if I want to even begin to understand it.  So much of it just flew over my head so quickly.  There is a lot there to digest.  There is a lot there to consider in light of ancient times vs. my own understanding of the world as it is today. Pope Francis' solemn consecration of Russia and Ukraine to Immaculate Heart of Mary

Yesterday, March 25, 2022, Pope Fransis Consecrated Russia, and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.   I spent some time looking for this in the news this morning, there wasn't much about it.  I had to dig deep.  There was a ton about the blood and guts horror that is going on in Ukraine but nothing about this.  I didn't find anything on the major news outlets until I searched.  Nothing in my feeds.  I figured it would at least make the headlines, being such a large and important event.   Catholics all over the world participated.  Most Catholic Bishops participated.  I participated. It was nice.  I went to my church, the Bishop came and led the prayers of Consecration, the Rosery and the Angelus prayer.   A lot of people showed up here in Portland Maine, to pray for an end to the war in Ukraine and to pray that it doesn't escelate into World War 3. I guess this isn't important enough to make it a major headline.  At least it shows where our priorities are.
