The Halftime Show Drama

I am just a poor lost soul who is trying to navigate my way around a crazy world.  It gets pathetically stupid at times and today is no exception.  I want to take a moment to point out the kind of crazy shit that this crazy world throws at us and forces me to live with.  And to do that, I will use the example of this year's Superbowl Half Time show. Here is the link to it on YouTube, incase you missed it...  Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige & Kendrick Lamar FULL Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show - YouTube I personally thought that this year's Half Time show was one of the best (musically speaking) that they've had in a long time.  I'm not really into Hip Hop or anything but you do have to give credit where credit is due, and this year we got a show with some of the best of all time at what they do.  Every performer absolutely killed it.  It was a top-notch performance.   Then comes the top performers of the Crazy World Show throwing shit at it.  The first

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovely ladies out there!     I should make this post my dating profile, eh?   Who am I kidding?  Who would want to date somebody like me?

Personal Revelations

Last night, I had an epiphany.   I was at work, listening to Relevant Radio (A Catholic radio station) over my cell phone app.  The church was celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Lourds, which was when the Virgin Mary appeared to a young girl (Saint Bernadette) in Lourds France in 1858.   The show I was listening to (h ere's the link to the podcast)  got into discussing what a divine apparition was and how it would be approved or accepted by the church or not.  There would have be investigations by the bishops.  There would be certain criteria that had to be met, etc.  It was interesting and insightful, like this show often is.   It was also one of those times where something that happened to me a long time ago was explained to me in a different way that helped me to understand it a little more.  Specifically, when he started talking about personal revelations by Mary or Jesus or the Holy Spirit, etc.   I guess that there have been thousands of claims of personal revelations over

This is life

One day we are convinced that we are on the right path, the next something happens that forces us to reassess our direction.  Everything is different moving forward. One day we are moving forward full steam ahead, the next everything stops in its tracks.  We might fall flat on our ass and find ourselves skidding along the surface, climbing out of a big hole, or trying to figure out where to go from here. Other times we could take a major leap forward and start operating at a higher level.  Great things happen too.  It's not all negative.   The only thing we can count on is that something is going to change.  Something will be different.  The future is always different than the past.  We have to be ready for it.  We have to make the best of it.  We have to be grateful for it.  If at all possible, not stress over it.   We have to simply make the necessary adjustments to the way we do things so that we can be the best versions of ourselves.  We have to roll with the changes, so to spe

I got sucked into social media

Although I was totally planning to get up and start writing something great on this fine and frigid morning, I ended up getting sucked into something on my social media and wasted the first couple hours of my day on meaningless bullshit.   What a time we live in.  So many distractions.  So much irrelevant bullshit at our fingertips.  So easy to get sucked into it. Such is the life of a poor lost soul.
